Public health warnings even extend to toilet use amid the COVID-19 pandemic, with officials offering key steps to avoiding problems with untreated sewage.
Number one: “Flushable” isn’t the case on wipes, municipal officials say, despite product packaging claims.
Number two: There’s a whole list of other household products that need to stay out of toilets.
Sewer or septic blockages can happen at any time when items that don’t biodegrade are flushed. However, reminders are being issued as sales of sanitizing wipes escalate due to concerns about COVID-19 on surfaces.
