City of Lindsay asks people to quit flushing wipes

The city of Lindsay took to Facebook recently to ask residents to stop putting flushable wipes down their toilets.
“I know you get tired of posts about flushable wipes, but we are having to call our crew to clean them out of manholes and the sewer plant due to people flushing them. Toilet papers dissolve in water, and flushable wipes take days to dissolve,” the message read.
“If you use flushable wipe, please put them in your trash and do not flush the wipes! Help us prevent this from occurring.”
