NACWA Hosts Webinar on Legal and Regulatory Issues Facing Clean Water Utilities During the Coronavirus Pandemic

(May 28, 2020) - NACWA convened a panel of clean water legal experts last week to provide clean water utility leaders and attorneys with information designed to help navigate permitting and enforcement issues arising from COVID-19.
Speakers discussed critical topics including recent federal enforcement guidance issued by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Justice, the impact of force majeure clauses in consent decrees and settlement agreements, and the potential for consent decree modification and citizen lawsuits.
