(June 10, 2020) – River Rally, hosted each year by the River Network, brings together a broad range of advocates for inspiring conversations and celebrating progress towards an equitable and sustainable water future.
In lieu of an in-person event in San Antonio this May, the 2020 River Rally went virtual, being held online over three weeks from May 18 – June 7th. NACWA staff participated in a Peer Call rally session on Climate Adaptation and Resiliency Planning. NACWA joined with local and national leaders in a panel discussion and breakout group conversation on ways to approach climate adaption planning.
NACWA and the River Network signed a Memorandum of Understanding in 2017 to encourage more engagement among the public clean water sector and the riverkeeper and other watershed groups that participate in the River Network. We applaud the River Network for pivoting successfully to a virtual rally this year and keeping the conversation going!
