NACWA Hosts Call with State & Regional Partners

Jul 17, 2019

(July 17, 2019) - NACWA held its quarterly conference call with its State and Regional Partners on July 11. The group heard from the California Association of Sanitation Agencies (CASA) regarding their efforts to push non-flushable wipes legislation at the state level and the testing and grassroots initiatives they are engaging in between sessions.

CASA also discussed how the PFAS issue is being addressed in California, while NACWA provided an update on the PFAS issue from both a legislative and regulatory perspective. The state and regional groups were asked to continue sharing developments on PFAS-related issues with NACWA, as well as to encourage each group’s members to contact their federal elected officials regarding pending legislation on PFAS and other issues.

These conference calls provide an opportunity for NACWA to collaborate with state and regional groups on clean water initiatives, to learn more about how issues are developing at the state level, and to encourage support and participation in the Association’s advocacy efforts.

To lean more or participate in the state and regional group, please contact Kelly Brocato, Sr. Director of Membership Development & Retention.
