NACWA, WateReuse Association Expand Cooperation on Reuse Issues

Oct 2, 2018

NACWA-WateReuse_002(October 2, 2018) - NACWA and the WateReuse Association (WRA) are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which outlines a commitment from the two organizations to work more closely together on issues regarding water reuse and water recycling.

The MOU notes that NACWA recognizes WRA’s technical expertise on reuse/recycling issues, and that WRA recognizes NACWA’s unique advocacy role in supporting and encouraging resource recovery and water reuse.  The document also outlines a number of areas of policy advocacy coordination – including those related to federal funding, research, regulation, and federal statutes – as well as a commitment for collaborative knowledge-sharing, learning opportunities, and engagement between members and staff.

NACWA and WRA thank their respective Boards and members for supporting the MOU, and look forward to additional collaboration and support of each other’s efforts in the water reuse space.
