With the Dental Amalgam Rule now in effect for new sources, EPA is preparing implementation aids for the rule.  NACWA’s Pretreatment & Pollution Prevention Committee provided comments to EPA on its draft one-time compliance report, which is expected to be posted on the EPA website soon.  The Committee has also provided input on a draft FAQ document for dental offices, and EPA has requested questions to be included in an upcoming FAQ for Control Authorities, including publicly owned treatment works (POTWs).  NACWA members are encouraged to send any questions about the rule to Cynthia Finley.  NACWA will continue to work with EPA to assist POTWs with implementation of the rule.
