Collaboration for Healthy Watersheds: How the Municipal & Agricultural Sector are Partnering to Improve Water Quality
Throughout the United States, efforts are under way to restore and maintain healthy watersheds and good water quality in our streams, rivers, lakes and coastal waterways. These efforts are built on a common goal of stewardship for land and water that is shared by Americans living in our cities, on farms and in rural communities. This work is complicated and requires effective collaboration among many parties to forge solutions that are durable and achieve tangible goals and objectives. The nine case studies in this paper demonstrate the gains to be realized by both municipalities and agriculture when they work together to address water quality and productivity concerns.
