PFLUGERVILLE, Texas (KXAN) — A wastewater treatment plant nearly 20 years in the making is one step closer to being complete.
City of Pflugerville officials broke ground Thursday at the Wilbarger Wastewater Plant after they bought the land back in 2009. The $247 million plant is meant to double the amount of water the city can process.
The city’s utility director, Brandon Pritchett, said growth is one of the drivers for increasing that processing capacity.
