(July 16, 2020) – EPA announced July 14 that 2020 funding for the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) program is now available. The Agency estimates that it will be able to fund approximately $5 billion in WIFIA loans for water projects in the 2020 funding cycle. Funding for 2020 will not be impacted by the current dispute in Congress over WIFIA funding for 2021 (see related article).

Potential borrowers can submit Letters of Interest within 90 days of the publication of the funding notice in the Federal Register. EPA is also hosting a webinar on July 28 for interested borrowers.
