Water Sector Elevates Its Priorities During Infrastructure Week

May 7, 2019

A special open panel discussion featuring NACWA Board Members is set to make the case for water infrastructure investment during national Infrastructure Week (May 13 – 20, 2019).

The panel—entitled, The Future is Now: Smart Water Infrastructure, scheduled for May 15 in Washington, DC—features NACWA Board Members Kyle Drefuss-Wells, CEO of the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, and Ted Henefin, General Manager of the Hampton Roads Sanitation District, among other panelists. They will make the case for smart water infrastructure investment, as the White House and Congress engage in talks over a possible $2 trillion national infrastructure package.

The Panel Discussion, hosted by the Value of Water Campaign, is scheduled for 1:00 pm Eastern, at 660 North Capitol Street, NW, in Washington DC. Find out more and RSVP at the Value of Water event website.

About Infrastructure Week

Infrastructure Week, a non-profit organization, annually convenes a national week of education and advocacy that brings together American businesses, workers, elected leaders, everyday citizens, and infrastructure sectors—including the clean water sector—around one message:  Let’s #BuildForTomorrow. Starting Now.

Each year during Infrastructure Week, leaders and citizens around America highlight the state of our nation’s infrastructure—including water and sewer systems—and advocate for fair infrastructure policy and increases in federal investment, among other issues.
