Oct 17, 2024

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will be conducting an informational webinar for the general public on Oct. 24 to provide information about the final Lead and Copper Rule Improvements  announced earlier this month. The Agency will also host a webinar for drinking water utilities and professionals on Nov. 14.

The rule requires drinking water systems to identify and replace lead service lines within 10 years, including developing a replacement plan and a strategy to inform customers. These plans apply to systems serving more than 50,000 people and must be updated annually.
