EPA Plans Infrastructure Webinar Series to Roll Out New Program Guidance – Water Webinar on March 15

Feb 24, 2022

In recent weeks, the White House has begun rolling out program guidance regarding implementation of the bipartisan infrastructure bill for individual infrastructure sectors.  The Biden Administration is planning a public webinar series to walk through each agency and sector’s guidance after its release.

A water infrastructure investment webinar has been set for March 15th, from 4:00-5:00 PM Eastern. Registration is free and available at this link.

NACWA anticipates that EPA will release guidance for the water programs as soon as March 4th. NACWA and its members have been closely engaged with the Agency as it has drafted its guidance. Keep an eye on the Clean Water Current in the coming weeks as more information is made available. EPA has also created a new webpage, https://www.epa.gov/infrastructure, where it will post new resources and information.

A similar webinar focused on resilience – looking at programs through the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA), Department of Interior (DOI), and Department of Agriculture (USDA) – has been scheduled for March 17th, from 4:00-5:00 PM Eastern, which may also be of interest to clean water agencies.

Contact Kristina Surfus, NACWA Managing Director of Government Affairs, to discuss further.
