NACWA Hosts Meeting of EPA Region 8 Utilities for Focused Discussion on Mountain State Issues
As part of an ongoing series of region-specific meetings, NACWA was joined by a number of member and nonmember utilities via a virtual meeting on Jan. 21 to discuss a range of issues facing Region 8 utilities.
Attendees had the opportunity to discuss the key challenges impacting their utilities, and issues such as workforce challenges, nutrient regulation and rising costs due to supply chain disruptions were common themes.
NACWA provided timely updates on implementation of the recent bipartisan infrastructure bill, and well as continuing Congressional action around appropriations and Build Back Better Act negotiations. NACWA staff also discussed the Association’s involvement in the recent Montana nutrients litigation, which impacted members in the region.
