NACWA Participates in Virtual Water Finance Conference on Key Federal Initiatives
(September 23, 2020) – As with most conferences this year, the Water and Finance Conference went virtual over two weeks from September 8 to September 17. NACWA, a partner of the event, participated in two sessions during the conference — a session on evolving federal and state regulations against the backdrop of funding opportunities and a session on long-term sustainability in a time of uncertainty.
These sessions covered a variety of topics including where things stand currently with PFAS, the Lead and Copper Rule Long-Term Revisions, Affordability and Integrated Planning, and what EPA’s priorities will be in the coming months. These starter conversations then evolved into more-detailed panel conversations with clean water utilities and sector leaders on how they are responding to the evolving regulatory landscape.
NACWA would like to thank Benjamin Media and Water Finance and Management for the opportunity to partner in this year’s virtual event and present on these very important advocacy initiatives.
