"Flushable" wipes and disinfecting wipes causing issues at wastewater plants

Toilet paper is still in high demand, which is leading people to buy "flushable" wipes.
But are they actually flushable?
West Virginia American Water says no, and in fact they cause big issues for plumbing, External Affairs Manager Megan Hannah said.
"We saw a huge increase in the types of materials that came to our treatment facility," Hannah said. "Even though it's subsided a little, it's still a huge problem."
In fact, Hannah said flushable wipes and sanitizing wipes can cause clogs in wastewater infrastructures.
