Symposium on Detroit Water Issues
Nov 7, 2017
(November 7, 2017) – NACWA participated in a colloquium Nov. 2 – 3, sponsored by the University Research Corridor in Michigan, to brainstorm new approaches to modernize water infrastructure for the 21st century. The event brought together academics, practitioners, government officials, and NGO representatives to engage in a series of exercises and discussions to propose new ideas and networks that can better address the growing water infrastructure challenges facing Michigan and the nation. The meeting will lead to a report and a set of proposed recommendations that will not only benefit communities in Michigan, but will also have value for utilities nationwide.
NACWA was pleased to participate in the event and will share the report when available. Please contact Nathan Gardner-Andrews, NACWA’s Chief Advocacy Officer, to discuss further.
