March 2 Stormwater Committee Meeting to Discuss Finance Recommendations and MS4 Litigation Issues

Feb 26, 2020

(February 26, 2020) – NACWA’s Stormwater Management Committee will hold its first committee meeting of 2020 on March 2 from 3:00 to 4:00 PM ET.

NACWA welcomes Michael Hunt with the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County as the Committee’s new co-chair, joining Jill Piatt-Kemper with the City of Aurora, Colorado.

The Committee will hear an update from EPA’s Ellen Tarquinio on the Stormwater Finance Workgroup that was tasked after a yearlong stakeholder outreach process to inform and make recommendations to the Environment Finance Advisory Board (EFAB) on identifying sources of funding and whether funding is sufficient to meet capital expenses and long term operation and maintenance needs.

The Committee will also discuss – among other litigation - EPA’s recent proposed settlement for MS4 communities in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and what it may mean for MS4s throughout the country.

Please contact Emily Remmel, NACWA’s Director of Regulatory Affairs, for more information or to participate in the conference call.
