NACWA Participates in Nutrient Finance Workshop
(August 21, 2019) – NACWA attended an Innovative Financing Strategies for Reducing Nutrients Workshop last week co-hosted by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
The workshop built upon collaborative efforts between USDA and EPA to advance market-based solutions to nutrient impairment challenges. The workshop included panel discussions from USDA, EPA, and a diverse group of experts, and attracted stakeholders and practitioners from both Washington, DC and around the country.
Earlier this summer, USDA and EPA co-hosted a four-part webinar series featuring innovative financing mechanisms in both the public and private sectors for reducing nutrients. Each webinar includes case studies and successful approaches from different parts of the country. Recordings and slides are available for free through EPA’s Water Finance Center.
