NACWA Active at Transformative Issues Symposium on Workforce

Aug 14, 2019

(August 14, 2019) – NACWA member utilities played an active role at last week’s Transformative Issues Symposium on Workforce, jointly hosted by the Water Environment Federation (WEF) and the American Water Works Association (AWWA).

Andy Kricun, Executive Director and Chief Engineer of the Camden County Municipal Utilities Authority and a NACWA Board Member, served as Chair of the Symposium planning workgroup and helped to pull together an excellent program that focused on the current challenges and opportunities facing the water and wastewater sectors on workforce issues.

Many other NACWA member utilities participated in panel discussion throughout the conference including the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, the Louisville Metropolitan Sewer District, the Hampton Roads Sanitation District, the Philadelphia Water Department, DC Water, AlexRenew, the City of Atlanta, Clean Water Services, and LA Sanitation.

NACWA thanks WEF and AWWA for the opportunity to participate in the Symposium and looks forward to continued collaboration on workforce issues.
