Association’s PFAS Webinar Addresses Range of Member Concerns, Recording Available

Jun 18, 2019

(June 18, 2019) - NACWA hosted the second Hot Topics in Clean Water Law Webinar of the year on June 11, focusing on PFAS-centric issues happening federally in the legislative, regulatory, and legal space.

Utility representatives, Kurt Anderson with the City of Grand Rapids in Michigan and Scott Firmin with the Portland Water District in Maine, reported on the real-time PFAS actions unfolding in their states where pretreatment and biosolids are ground-zero concerns, respectively. In addition, NACWA legal affiliate Marten Law’s Jeff Kray and Sarah Wightman provided their insights into a few possible legal considerations the clean water community should be aware of regarding the chemicals.

NACWA members can access the webinar slides and recording here. NACWA continues to engage with EPA and Congressional members on the plethora of issues in EPA’s PFAS Action Plan and on the Hill.

If members have questions, please contact Emily Remmel, NACWA’s Director of Regulatory Affairs.
