Utility Perspectives Sought on Water Quality Trading

Mar 27, 2018

six(March 27, 2018) – NACWA is a member of the National Network for Water Quality Trading, which works to foster a dialogue and improve consistency, innovation, and integrity in water quality trading. The Network is supported in part by a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Resources Conservation Service.

The Network is conducting a national assessment of trading demand to answer, in part, why demand for trading has been slow. The Network is interested in speaking with NACWA members who have either implemented a trading program, are currently considering doing so, or considered but decided against implementing a trading program.

If you are open to speaking with the Network, they are scheduling 45-minute interviews now through the end of April. Click here to schedule an interview. If you have questions about the project or interview process, contact Kristiana Teige Witherill, Clean Water Project Manager at Willamette Partnership, who is leading the assessment, at witherill@willamettepartnership.org.

If you have any questions about NACWA’s work on water quality trading, contact Kristina Surfus.  Thanks in advance for lending your expertise and experiences to this national assessment.
